One of the aspects that makes CaringWays®’ approach to medical fundraising unique is our ability to partner with providers, treatment centers, and other health-related nonprofit organizations. We believe that finding unique ways to work alongside other organizations that are committed to helping patients in need is a powerful way to impact more lives. One relationship we’re particularly proud of is our partnership with FundRecovery.

In this article, we wanted to highlight how Fund Recovery is working to make a difference in the world and share some of the innovative ways we’ve partnered with them to provide hope and help for people receiving mental health and addiction services.

Fund Recovery’s Mission to Change The Trajectory of Treatment

Fund Recovery was founded in 2011 to provide hope to families across the country by offering direct financial assistance for mental health and substance abuse services. What makes Fund Recovery unique is its specific focus on walking alongside athletes, veterans, their families, and fans. Its mission is to help bridge the gap between the cost of recovery and a patient’s ability to pay for recovery.

The need for effective and affordable recovery and mental health treatment is more important than ever before. Between April 2020 and April 2021, fatalities related to substance abuse reached a 12-month all-time high—100,000 people—according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Rates of clinical depression and anxiety are also extremely high. This makes the work Fund Recovery is doing vital to those they serve.

The organization has developed partnerships with more than 400 addiction and mental health centers across the country to offer scholarships and negotiate provider discounts for people in need. Fund Recovery applicants are reviewed by addiction recovery experts and are matched with a program near them based on the care they need.

CaringWays® & Fund Recovery: A Partnership to Provide Holistic Hope During Treatment

The number one reason people don’t seek addiction treatment is cost. While Fund Recovery is able to provide a more affordable treatment plan, there are still additional costs that a patient may need help covering. When someone is dealing with addiction or a mental health crisis, they typically need help immediately. All of this makes it incredibly stressful for a patient to figure out how to cover the cost of the treatment they need.

This is where the powerful partnership between Fund Recovery and CaringWays® makes a difference. Unlike other platforms CaringWays® ensures funds go directly to providers and treatment. Through our partnership, CaringWays® provides an opportunity to help patients fundraise the costs associated with treatment.

Hall of Fame Health: Tackling Recovery & Mental Health in Professional Football

One particular initiative Fund Recovery is championing is partnering with the Hall of Fame Health organization to address mental health treatment in the professional football players, family members, and fans. Over the next few months, Fund Recovery and the Hall of Fame Health are working to raise awareness and support for this initiative by partnering with the Pro Football community to host a series of events in cities across the United States. CaringWays® recently had the opportunity to partner with them during their event in Nashville to help shed light on the impact people can have when providing financial support to loved ones during their recovery journey.

We are honored to partner with Fund Recovery to provide a way to offer practical support for patients during recovery. Together, we continue in our commitment to fund the fight for addiction recovery in a way that changes the trajectory of thousands of lives across the country.
